CAP Squadron NC-082
Winston-Salem Composite Squadron

Squadron Wish List

The squadron could use (if you have or know a way to get):

Commercial grade fixtures for the bathroom

            Toilet paper holder

            Paper towel dispenser

            Soap dispenser

Water for drinking, if you could bring 1 or 2 gallons of water (like you buy at the store).

Perhaps we could get a member to refill these and return to the building.

Water Filtration system for squadron water supply, if we had this, we could eliminate the need of bringing our own water.

We will need 10 squares of brown shingles (these will be used on the roof of the building).

Print server (parallel or USB), used for connecting a printer to the Local Area Network (LAN).

LCD Multimedia Projector (used for presenting power points during training).  This is a big dollar item that we may need to start building a fund for, so if you wanted to put $$ towards it, LtCol Bill Simmons would designate it for that purpose.

Be on the lookout (if you’re at Sam’s Club)

We need to purchase 10 more chairs like the ones for the conference room, but Sam’s has changed the style they carry.  Please be on the look out for the same style chair, if you find in another store please let us know.

Building update……

Yes we have come a long way (bathroom, communications room), but we have also discovered a lot of things that need/must be done.  We have roof leaks that have slowed down the progress of work (we have a game plan to fix it), but this is to let you know we are still moving on the building.  Ron Cheek (rivrratone@triad.rr.com ) has taken the lead on putting together teams to help with the repairs, if you have something you could help with, please let him know.  We are planning a Group III exercise at the Squadron in February and it would be nice to have more of these things done.

We have gotten estimates on Roof Repairs, Gutter Replacement and Vinyl Siding.  And yes we are again at a time of more work needed than money in our account.  With that being said, and it being the end of the tax year.  If anyone is in a position that they could donate $$ to the squadron (or perhaps be in a position to sponsor one of these needed repairs) please let Neil Brock (rneil326@aol.com) know.  The squadron will give you a receipt that you can use on your 2004 tax return.

Thank you all for donating your time, your money and your commitment to Civil Air Patrol.

For the Commander,

Maj. Norman Noah
